Up for a challenge? Team player? Aged 18 to 43? Make your spare time pay!
Find out what it takes to join a Territorial Army Geographic Squadron!
135 Geo Sqn provide a range of capabilities to support Defence ranging from data collection (including geodetic survey), provision of terrain analysis and advice to planners, and distribution of geographic mapping products in an operational environment using modern software and state-of-the-art technology. If you are an ex-regular, a civilian surveyor, GIS, GPS, desk top publisher, geographer or database manager professional, then we could make very good use of your skills.
We’ll tell you everything you need to know about being a member of a Geographic Squadron. You’ll also get the opportunity to talk to soldiers who have recently been on operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere and check out some of the Army’s latest equipment:
• Communications Equipment
• Mapping Equipment • Weapons
• Vehicles • And more
You’ll also get the inside track on our ceremonial and social life and the exercises and adventure training we take part in worldwide. If you can give us several nights a month and some spare weekends, you’ll be paid and we’ll give you new skills, new mates, improved fitness and some great experiences.
If you are a team player, up for a real challenge – then we want you to come along any Tuesday from 7.30pm – 9.30pm.
